Bonjou (Hello!) Friends! Just a quick update to let you know that our "Vision Trip" to Haiti was a wonderful success! Thank you so much for praying! Many things are now in the works and God's hand was apparent on each path we traveled.
We had a GREAT meeting with Pastor Bertho Eugene, President of the Baptist Association in Haiti. Its official: I'll be speaking at the Baptist Haiti Mission’s Pastors and Leaders Conference in March 2014! This will give over 350 Haitian pastors an opportunity to hear my testimony and consider how to best utilize our ministry to aid in their evangelism efforts.
New Friends, New Possibilities
We also had a wonderful time visiting the Baptist Haiti Mission and meeting some of its missionaries, who we can now call friends. The door is open there for Jeff and I to bring a team with us in the future. We are so excited about this possibility! Wouldn’t YOU just love to go with us one day? We would be thrilled to have you working alongside us!
First Time Speaking in Haiti
On Sunday, I spoke in 2 services at Eglise Baptiste de Delmas. The people were very receptive as they could relate to many of the painful aspects of my testimony. It was awesome to watch eyes go from being filled with tears to filled with hope. Imagine my joy as I watched 23 people open their hearts to Jesus! Tears of joy!
Giving Out Beanie Babies
As most of you know, seeing big beautiful smiles on the faces of children is always the icing on the cake for me. So it was with full hearts that Jeff and I went from classroom to classroom delivering all the Beanie Babies you sent for them. They were so surprised and so thankful. Imagine: For some of these kids, this will be their only gift for the year. THANK YOU! Pray For Us
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. (2 Thess 3:1) Don’t forget we leave for Brazil on September 3rd so please keep praying for us. I've been battling a chest cold since we got back form Haiti. Please pray for me that I'll recover quickly and be well enough to fly next Tuesday.

Pray, Pray, PRAY!!
Hi Dear Friends,
Wow, can you believe it's August already!? This summer is truly flying by. Speaking of flying, in less than 2 weeks, on August 16th, we’ll be in the air and on our way to Haiti. Less than a month later, on September 3rd, we’ll be buckled in and headed to Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Besides planning for our upcoming mission ventures, the wheels on my wheelchair have been spinning like crazy as I've been speaking almost every Sunday this summer to raise the extra support needed for these overseas trips. We’ve been working hard but it’s so worth it. Each week we continue to see the fruit of our labor as one by one, the lost find their way in Christ and the embattled believer is encouraged to keep fighting the good fight.
About The Trips:
Port au Prince, Haiti (August 16 -18) – This particular trip is a vision trip, designed for exploring, praying, establishing partnerships, and developing plans for upcoming trips/work for our ministry. We are scheduled to visit the Baptist Haiti Mission and meet with the missionaries there. We are also slated to meet with the President of the Association of Baptist Churches in Haiti. No trip would be complete without me speaking, so I will also speak in 2 services at Eglise Baptiste de Delmas which is also our host church. And yes, I'll be giving out the Beanie Babies you collected. Pray with us that we’ll be sensitive to the Lord's leading relative to potential future involvement in Haiti. We’re so excited about the possibilities!
Porto Alegre, Brazil (September 3 -18) – This will be our 6th visit to Brazil and our 3rd time ministering in this particular city. The Metropolitan Porto Alegre area is home to over 5 million Urban Gaúchos (traditional cowboys from South America). Sadly, less than 1% of those Gaúchos have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Our hearts grieve for the countless communities in and around Porto Alegre with absolutely no Christian witness, but with centers of witchcraft established on every corner. Pray with us as we partner with Igreja Batista do Passo D'Areia (our host church) and church planters to evangelize this spiritually needy land.
Friend, we know that you’re working hard to send us and we can't thank you enough for your faithful support. Be assured that we are working hard on our end to answer His call to reach the lost. There’s one last thing we must do so our efforts are not in vain... PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! Pray as we push against the darkness that enslaves so many across the globe.
